ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Podavini Luca, also known as PODA. I'm 22 years old and originally from the province of Brescia, near the Lake of Garda. I'm currently studying at the University of Trento, trying to balance my academic life with my passion for electronic-dance-music.

How It All Began

My journey into the world of DJing started long before I took it seriously. It all begun with organizing small parties with friends and family. It was on those occasions that I started to gain experience and understand how much I loved creating unique and fun atmospheres for the people around me.

From Passion to Profession

Over the past three years, I have turned my passion into a profession. What started as a personal hobby has now grown into performing at larger public events. A special thanks goes to Partyhive, a collective I co-founded, through which I have organized numerous events in town over the past few years.

The Vibes I Bring

My sets are all about energy, rhythm, and emotion. Whatever genre I play, my goal is to create an atmosphere that keeps the audience moving and engaged from start to finish. I'm always on the lookout for new opportunities to share my music and push creative boundaries. Stay tuned for what's next!

MY MUSIC

My Musical Journey

Electronic music has always been one of my greatest passions. I grew up listening to dance music and the EDM sound of the 2010s. Over the years, I have developed a more diverse taste, embracing genres such as House and Techno, as well as more niche genres like Drum & Bass and Hardstyle.

A Love for Harder Sounds

I must admit, I've always had a soft spot for the "harder" side of music. At the moment, I am particularly inspired by Hardstyle, both the recent releases and the early 2000s sound. I am rediscovering the entire "early Hardstyle" scene, becoming passionate about the sounds and atmospheres of that era. I'd love to bring these vibes back to future events if the opportunity arises.

Creating the Perfect Party Atmosphere

Back in the real world, my goal is to create a party atmosphere where the audience can have fun, regardless of the music genre. Whether it's mainstream or more underground music, what matters to me is engaging the audience, ensuring they have a great time, and leaving them with a memorable experience.

PARTYHIVE

The first public events where I performed were organized by PARTYHIVE, a group founded by me and some friends. In the group, we shared the same passion for music and event organization. Our goal has always been to have fun ourselves first, bringing the music we love and making sure the audience enjoys it as well. Our format includes not only music but also custom visuals and manually controlled lights to create a more immersive atmosphere.

Our Growth in the Local Scene

Over the past two years, we have organized around ten events in various venues across Trento. Our initial events featured more mainstream music, but over time we shifted our focus to tech-house and techno music.

Larger Events and Collaborations

Recently, We have had the opportunity to perform at larger events such as the APERPOVO, organized at the university by student representatives and the Christmas Markets in Rovereto. Additionally we performed at some MERCOLEGIN events in Trento, in collaboration with Spotted UNITN.

EQUIPMENT

Both as a member of PARTYHIVE and as a solo DJ, I provide the following equipment:

  • Pioneer DDJ-400 or Traktor Kontrol S4 console
  • 500W Gemini speakers (with stands), suitable for small venues but insufficient for outdoor events
  • Pair of Betopper LM70S moving heads
  • Pair of DMX LED PAR lights
  • F1000 PRO smoke machine
  • Pair of stands for light positioning
  • Launchpad for manual light control
